North/Enfield. 30/m.

What exactly do you mean by culture? Museums? The theater?

I just want someone to do impulsive stuff with, work is killing me right now.
>>
>>25260635
Yeah, by culture I mean museums, galleries and concerts. What work do you do anon?
>>
>>25260639
Boring city shit that doesn't pay as well as the big four/large investment banks but still kills me slowly inside.

I'm not really into concerts, but I love museums and galleries. Got an email anon?
>>
>>25260646
I do, but it's my personal email, so I won't post on here. What stuff do you like to do in London?
>>
>>25260654
I like the V&A and the British Library when it comes to exhibitions. I'll occasionally go to the Barbican to see plays but honestly, a lot of the more modern productions are terrible (the one with Jude Law in it running now is damned awful), so sometimes I prefer just going to the Globe for standard Shakespeare performed traditionally. During holidays I see music recitals. I'll also go out of London to Kent/Surrey etc for walks with friends now and again.

Then the standard stuff like new restaurants, nice bars etc - but those excursions are growing rarer the older I get. I might go and see that new Alien film at some point this month.

How about you?
>>
>>25260646
>Boring city shit that doesn't pay as well as the big four/large investment banks but still kills me slowly inside.

At least you're not working as a wageslave in a supermarket that's swamped with city workers.
>>
>>25260672
I feel for you dude if that's the case. I always treat service employees with respect, can't stand people who don't.
>>
>>25260676
>I always treat service employees with respect, can't stand people who don't.

That's cool.
I found out that there's little difference between a store in a shit part of London than one in a well-off part, the main difference being is the customers in the well-off store think they're better than you.

How did you get into your career anyway? Cos I need to leave before my brain rots.
>>
>>25260680
>How did you get into your career anyway? Cos I need to leave before my brain rots.

Degree plus hustling. The industry I work in is quite incestuous and you need to meet a ton of people to elbow your way in.

How old are you anyway bro?
>>
>>25260684
27.

I have a 2.2 in maths that been gathering dust for 6 years now. For the past 3/4 years I've been working in a supermarket.

>plus hustling.
Ah christ.
>>
>>25260690
>I have a 2.2 in maths that been gathering dust for 6 years now. For the past 3/4 years I've been working in a supermarket.

The funny thing is your 2:2 in mathematics probably took a lot more legwork than my 2:1 in economics.

I know a guy who did a ridiculously hard stats degree of some kind and ended up with a 2:2 which screwed him over somewhat. It's a shame. I'd recommend you look into one of the ACCA exams, professional qualifications > degrees.
>>
>>25260694
>I'd recommend you look into one of the ACCA exams

That's like what...another 1-2 years?

>The funny thing is your 2:2 in mathematics probably took a lot more legwork than my 2:1 in economics.

Maybe, maybe not, I barely remember anything from it. Working as a wageslave has destroyed my mind.
>>
>>25260701
Yeah, the ACCA is several years but you can get the AAT before that and start working as a sort of accountancy paralegal type role.

I know plenty of people in their 30s who did the ACCA/GDL/etc. Don't worry about it too much. Get started now. I find I'm less depressed when I'm actually learning stuff too.
>>
>>25260711
>accountancy paralegal type role.
What kind of earnings?
>>
>>25260713
Not really sure. It's accountancy so its boring but I assure you it's probably more fulfilling than working in a supermarket.
>>
>>25260715
I see. People were telling me about finding a career in IT so now I have to look at my options.

You met any other anons IRL?
>>
>>25260724
A few times, yeah.
>>
>>25260726
How?
>>
>>25260726
Just a chance meeting?
>>
>>25260728
Guys: Mostly people I've known for years from things like Steam groups, or older chan offshoots who I met up with a few times and decided were pretty cool people IRL.

Girls: A few hookups who I met a few times. 4chan girls are unique.

Shoreditch, Central London, Clapham, some clubs in Brixton too. I like going to pubs with friends, but prefer clubs for a proper night out
>What you're looking for
Anyone with similar interests or just willing to hang out, I'm doing a work placement right now and will go back to uni in september to my final year

- Generally more impulsive than normal girls.
- Sexually more adventurous, extremely submissive usually (which I like), but occasionally are dominant too if that's your thing.
- Shared interests, which isn't that big a deal for Americans but I barely met a single girl growing up who had any interest in video games and stuff like that, so it was refreshing to actually meet girls into such things.
- Shared niche/esoteric sense of humor.

I like these 2 points, but I still have a hard time imagining someone isn't either cringe, insane or aesthetically uncared for.
>>
>>25260749
Maybe I've just been lucky. Most girls seem to grow out of cringy behavior by their 20s. And a lot of the girls here are surprisingly good looking - it's true that there aren't many knock-outs, but decent enough 6s abound.
>>
>>25260752
>And a lot of the girls here are surprisingly good looking - it's true that there aren't many knock-outs, but decent enough 6s abound.

Aren't most of them bots or trolls here? /soc/'s catalog is a wall of dicks. I'd question the sanity of a girl who'd persist on this board.
>>
>>25260766
I'm not that sure, most of the ones I've met haven't been /soc/.
>>
>>25260769
>most of the ones I've met haven't been /soc/.
Makes more sense now.
>>
>>25260776
Right. I've heard there are girls on this board who browse here and nowhere else, not even any of the topical boards. That's really weird to me.
>>
>>25260780
>not even any of the topical boards.
/cgl/ is one of the female-centric boards, I have no idea what other boards are also female centric or have a decent female population.
>>
>>25260802
I've not spent enough time on /cgl/ to have an opinion about it, and most of the opinions I've heard have been second hand. Mostly people seem to dislike the bitchyness.
>>
>>25260901
All you need to know is that cosplayers are huge whores.

Camden, Greenwich, Shoreditch and many street food markets across town. I prefer a night in the pub rather than a club.
