but jokes aside, as someone who suffers from depression, I find it incredibly difficult to talk to the people I have felt closest to. And in a lot of cases I have stopped talking to them completely.

It becomes a burden to try and tell people how I'm feeling today, and honestly sometimes, I feel like I'm just going to bug people if I even try to open up.

Then again, this doesn't mean the same for your ex. It could be your relationship wasn't as solid as you first thought, and he wanted out but couldn't think of a better way to get out.
