I'm kinda puzzled to see people with so many good looking matches. I've been on Tinder on and off for like 2 years now, I think overall I had like 80 matches, 3 dates that went nowhere.
I've posted my profile here many times looking for advice, the most I got was to switch picture because "it was fine", or that "I shouldn't have any problem". I know my profile lacks excitement because I don't do much, and when I do I just don't think of taking pictures of it, but still.
Are the people being succesful with Tinder the exception, or am I the odd one?

Not at all. I'm not a terribly photogenic guy, so I tend to have very poor luck matching with hot women, but in real life I do very well. I'm funny and have a very strong presence, but you have to be able to see my body language, gesticulation, facial expression, and hear the inflections in my voice when I joke to really get it. Honestly just be funny, throw out some mutual interests. The problem is timing. Women on tinder seem to have an incredibly short attention span. Think about it, hundreds of guys swipe right on them every single day. They have an unlimited supply of upgrades to pick from. Your best bet is to meet them as soon as possible, and leave a physical impression on them. That's the area where I've had the most difficultly. Getting a number is easy, and you should do it within the first day of talking to a girl, but it's the period of time between setting up a date, and going on it that is scary territory. I'd say just keep swiping. You can kind of tell when a woman has lost interest. If a girl has been regularly texting you, and texting a certain way (paragraphs, constant emojis, etc) and then suddenly the amount of texting drops off or the style of texting drastically changes, it's essentially game over.
Here's an example. This was a girl, who actually asked me to meet up with her, texted me every day for a week, sent me lingerie pics and everything, then on the day we were supposed to go out? I'm convinced girls use tinder to boost their self esteem. When even fat girls and ones that in person will never be hit on or have guys check them out have hundreds or even a thousand+ matches, yet they don't reply or don't message then they're not actually using it for anything in person.

I had a girl I met up with out of boredom tell me that in a week she had 400 matches. She told me that almost every swipe was a match and then showed me the app. This girl was like a 5 at best with a really boring personality.
