Found it as a teen years ago through ED because of the constant 4chan references. Though initially I didn't find the place that interesting, one time I hopped on /b/ as some big news story broke and I spend the whole day laughing my ass off at all the OC. From then on I browsed daily and began to understand the community. I stay now because there's just something about this place that's different than anywhere else. Maybe it's the unfiltered openness of everybody here but it just feels like people are more genuine. I like that your post is judged on its own merit rather than, say, postcount or join date on a forum and there's hardly any censorship compared to other places. Some board cultures in particular have always appealed to me though and is part of the reason I keep coming back. I'll never forget the first few months of /s4s/.

I was like 14 browsing Gaia quite often and was a pretty popular member. 4chan would have these raids through the boards, posting inappropriate memes. Everyone would be like, "fucking 4chan."

I just got curious one day and slipped on over to /b/, and my 14 year old self was exposed to more crazy shit than I could have ever imagined. I got addicted to it. Got older, had fun camwhoring. I'm 25 now and don't visit much anymore, but 4chan was an integral part of my high school years. I keep in contact with a lot of people I met on 4chan. Good times man.

Found /b/ through an ex when I was in high school. Went to /tg/, /pol/, /d/, /co/, /aco/, then finally here. I don't really "stay" so much as I just get bored, check in, maybe shitpost, then go back to other stuff.

Came for hentai, stayed for the traps, and ended up becoming one. I occasionally browse /b/ until the gore starts, then I move back to dick thread /soc/. Joined a FL Kik chat as well as another rando one, made more internet friends who are fantastic. I pop on every now and then, but it's mostly when I get bored and wanna get the attention for the femboy ass. It's all fun.

Wow. I just realized I've been on 4chan for at least 10 years. My cousin told me about /b/ one time while we were playing D&D (shocker, I know) and I've been here ever since.
Nowadays I mainly just browse /fit/ to shit-post and /b/ and /gif/ to jerk it. I've only just recently started coming to /soc/ and I think I'm starting to regret it.

But that changed when I was 16, I started going out and have actual sex instead of those lame camshows. I'm 18 now and regularly browse /ic/ and /fit/.
I only check /soc if I feel the need to talk to someone late at night.

Came for the dark humour, kept coming because of free speech and sexual deviants.

It changed completely about a year ago, the userbase on the mainstream boards is completely gone& replaced. Now I just stay because I know the better websites out there are riskier to visit.

I first came because I kept hearing about how edgy this place was, so I wanted to check it out. Once I figured out how to bypass my parent's internet blocker I started coming pretty regularly.

Now I come because it's the only place that I can come to discuss my interests with other people in real time. Facebook is full of filthy normies, and reddit is too slow most of the time. This is like a real conversation, except I don't have to look at other people's eyes.
