Zombie apocalypse thread.
Rate others chances of survival
State what role they'd have in a group
Say what your loadout would be (innawoods.net would be useful)

Zombies. I'll be here for a bit writing some stories for people that participate, if my evening continues to be free.

Your parents were killed in front of you as they used themselves as bait to help you escape. You found a group shortly after to keep you safe and travel with. You learn how to use a pistol pretty quickly but you are still hesitant to use it. You are responsible for getting supplies with two members of the group.

medium chance of survival, you look like you have insomnia so i believe you would be a lookout. your group taught you how to use a rifle but you never took to it.

>>24778939
high chance of survival, forager/hunter. you are currently with a group of friendly people but you think they are holding you down and are considering going bandit with a couple other capable members of your group. you look like you know how to use any type of gun, tbqh.

The crowds used to bother her, but Amelia soon got used to them. College in the big city forced her to become accustomed to many things, public transit being one of them. One she used every day. At first she gawked at how people crammed in, at how people acted like animals to get the few seats. She wondered how people could just detach, read, fiddle with their phones, or just sit and stare blankly.
Soon she was one of those people. You know, it's so convenient to kill a twenty minute ride by killing a chapter or two. Her attempts at small talk with strangers petered out. She even seldom made eye contact with co-passengers. She was one of them. A city folk.
One of the unspoken rules of public transit was if a train car is empty, then it's empty for a reason. Avoid it.
Perhaps Amelia hadn't heard this rule. Perhaps she had, and she just wanted to get home.
She entered an empty traincar. She was alone. Alone, that is, until the doors closed, and the engine started pulling forward. She then heard the coughing coming from behind one of the seats. A moist coughing that brought up the term "hacking up a lung".
Curious, she wanders over, steadying herself on the upper hand holds. Slowly you peer over, only catching a glimpse of two men close together, and blood. You see the blood and a scream rises from your throat, but it can't escape. It's caught by the fear.
That's for the best. Perhaps Amelia can wait until the next stop, and get off quietly.
Perhaps.

You miss those days. Stadium lights piercing the dark night like a shining beacon. The crowds eyes centered on you. Centered on you running across the field, light on your feet though laden down with plastic armor. You lived for the cheer as you crossed into the endzone.
But that was long ago. Just a few years, but your glory days are behind you. A big fish in a small pond on the high-school football team, you learned otherwise at university. You got a full ride scholarship just to sit on a bench for half the season, but at least you graduated with a decent degree, and a solid waiting gig.
You needed a break after graduation, a long one. To find yourself.
Lucky for you that you could remember how to knock someone down who was charging you. Lucky because you did get that break from school, that break from life as you knew it. Lucky for you there was a knife nearby on a table you had just brought tacos to.

You don't remember much of your childhood. You remember bright lights, metallic corridors and white gowns. You remember soft words and softer hands. You remember them, the rotting hordes have always been a constant. The only thing you can rely on. You've never understood why, but you seem to have a connection with them. You can sense when they're nearby and they pay you no mind. Unless you're with other survivors, than their fury and bloodlust know no limits and their horrors unfathomable. You're a drifter, staying out of their everyone's way. It's better this way. High chance of survival
>>24778939
A bold, tough leader who makes the tough decisions to keep the group growing. You've been doing this for a year now and you're already noticing how frayed both you and your group are becoming. In the dead of night a horde descends upon your camp and in the confusion you are killed, but not by a zombie, but a man who seeks to play God with this group as its new leader. No chance
>>24778992
You were always an anxious, watchful person, which is why when the first attacks occured you were quick to gather any weapons and non perishables you can find and start making a bunker. Your anxiety has started to get the best of you these days though and you only hope you can keep a level head. Medium chance of survival
>>24778999
When your office was attacked, you didn't know what to do at first, the shock overtook you. But when you saw your co worker pulled through a doorway, you knew that from then on you had to protect whoever you could. Holed up in your office, you try your best to survive, being a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen. Low chance of survival
>>24779042
A lawyer in your past life, you find yourself the leader of an extremely vicious group of survivors, who raid the camps of others. Unfortunately, your bark is worse than your bite and the assaults on enemy camps and totalitarian disposition make you a target. Low chance of survival

Medium Chance.
You've lived on the street off and on for years prior to the outbreak, you're used to the hardships of living in the concrete jungle and abandoned your morals in order to survive. However, outside of an urban setting, you would depend on a group and could be utilized as a scout due to your experienced sense of hearing and sight, which you had to rely on rather than your physical strength.

>>24778939
Medium to High Chance.
Before the outbreak you lived a moderately comfortable life but only because you weren't a slouch. You worked hard for everything you have and this translates well into the present situation. Living in a more rural area, you commonly went hunting for sport, this experience with firearms and tracking comes in handy and is a highly desirable skill set to the city slicker group you come across that desperately tries living off of expiring store food. Your fault is that you always try to do the "moral" thing, despite the ramifications.

>>24778992
Medium Chances
Before the outbreak, you worked in a hole in the wall type restaurant in the slummy part of town, often going home to a small loft apartment. You're used to discomfort and merely brush it off. In the present situation, while you lack practical survival skill but you're used to going hungry, and your culinary expertise is a welcome addition to group you encounter at the outskirts of town, you're able to get they gamy taste out of wild meat and learn to defend yourself with a knife from one of your new friends.

More coming, ran out of space.

You seem like you'd act kinda like the guy out of zombieland.
You'd survive, but it'd be a mystery as to how.
>>
Brief descriptions.
>>24779131
Friendly guy. Childhood buddy of a group leader. Can hold his own, but usually tasked with sticking with the main body of the group to help protect the weak, and the leader trusts you to let him know if any shit is planned while he's away.
>>24779113
Office Drone #3,659 before the event. But now you usually stay on your own, or with a small group in your home city. You know it like the back of your hand, and sometimes you offer help to groups passing through. Unless they look rowdy.
>>24779042
Loner who joins a group, and through force of personality you begin to thrust yourself to the top. Sometimes with a quiet knife in the dark. You become a leader of a 15-20 sized group, but little do they know your desire to be a leader is higher than your skill at being one.
>>24778999
Friend of >>24779113. You two do the same thing.
>>24778992
Comic relief, usually on drugs. Sometimes you can be a great help to the team, others a detriment.
>>24778939
As much as you dislike it, you're the leader of a group. Though you'll pass it on as soon as someone better shows up. You can't wait for that day.

>>24779206

>>24778999
Low-Medium Chances
Before the outbreak, it was the suburban life for you. Living with a dear friend in a house identical to all the others in your neighborhood. But, despite your lack of rugged adventurism, you make it up but being a cautious person, taking first aid classes at the Y, your nose often buried in a psychology book. You opt to stay indoors during the initial weeks of the outbreak but you are forced to leave after you had to mercy kill your friend after they had been bitten. Emotionally shaken you can't stay there anymore and venture out with some basic supplies. You meet up with a group of impressionable survivers and you act as a kind of den mother, unsure of your, or their future. But, you treat what injuries you can and try to keep morale from falling.

>>24779042
High Chances
Before the outbreak, you came from an abusive household and thus it has wrapped your sense of morality. Your attitude lost you jobs left and right but you thrived in the criminal underworld as an enforcer. Being sociopathic, you had no problem beating the frail and weak in order to get a point across, and you kill without so much as a second thought. After the outbreak, you immediately go raider for a time before you snake your way into a group of survivers, you have already planned on how to kill each and everyone of them.

>>24779113
Medium Chances
Before the outbreak, a proud urbanite were you. A spunky entrepreneur one pitch away from making it big. Prior success afforded you some luxuries but you hungered for more. Sadly, the world fell apart and you lost everything you worked for was gone and you were pissed. You used this anger to fuel your desire to survive and you quickly hooked up with some of your more outdoorsy friends. Your intelligence and forethought helped in convincing another group to partner with yours and the two now work toward building and maintaining your makeshift fortess, a converted 5 star hotel.
