Beyond that, if you go into your soundcard's settings there maybe a noise reduction option that you can enable.

Background noise is trickier without obtaining another mic (the simple way is too have a mic with a very directional mic and setting it up in the right place) but stacks of towels/other big soft things around where you're recording can help a lot with that.

Has anyone seen that midnightrambler guy recently? I got a craving for how that mf says things from the slick 'howdy' to the lovely laughs but as far as I can see nothing new in a while yeah?
