I do a lot of Western Traditional style work, mostly tattoo related. That style of design often uses very bold outlines, heavy shading and a vibrant colour palette.

Typically I use Ink, watercolour, coloured pencil and sometimes charcoal. But I use all mediums to create my artwork. I paint ( watercolour, oil, acrylic) I do pencil, ink, charcoal and pastel sketches. I also sculpt and dabble in metal working.

I won't steal your thunder by doing my own set with them, but I think it would be cool (and probably blow a few minds) if you could set up your camera somewhere at about crotch level and handle the chains like they were a garrote or some bondage ties, right in front of a nice light pair of jeans. All quality tattoo machines are hand made and take a lot care and precision to create. In my opinion creating each piece by hand is the best way to get a quality working machine. I was inspired to create them simply because I love the art of tattoo's and the trade of tattooing. It's a skill that is lost to most modern tattooists. Now that all of the equipment can be easily purchased. It is also very gratifying to create a piece of art with a machine that you put sweat, blood and hard work into making. I love making things in general, it's just another thing that satisfies that part of me.

I made it with my grandfather, it is a copy of a ring he owned. It was created using a lost casting mould, using sand as the medium. I don't wear it, it is a bit to large for my fingers, but it is a keepsake.

Thnx! I like your idea! I actually had a very similar thought for poses and angles. But unfortunately I am only currently able to use a backup cell phone to take pictures. I have no way to mount it or be able to take pictures of both hands/ full body from a distance. So many of the ideas I have are simply not possible at the moment :/

It seems like a photo that would have been difficult to take, logistically, but it really wasn't that difficult, haha! I usually autoshoot with my camera and adjust focus (or auto focus) and settings throughout shooting. For this one I just set focus to auto and balance the camera on my chest, pulled into a bit of a crunch and held it for some pictures.

Way less complicated than it seems.

Yeah, exactly. Ahh, that kind of rucking. Yeah, 5 mi is short. You can run that with a small pack easily. Watch out for those boots, though. Running without proper range of motion can weaken your ankles, and boots are notoriously poorly padded, which can really fuck up your feet.

The only "sodas" I like are variants on gingerbeer and less-sweet rootbeers. But if you're rucking 5 miles, you should be alright after 6 hours after 1 beer (if you want one), and you should hardly be restricting caloric intake.

Definitely, I have to really change my stride to keep it comfortable. These boots aren't that good for long walks either, they have some aggressive lugs that are good for dirt and mud, but you feel every one of them on a road. I'm looking at some Belleviews with a flatter bottom now.

And I'm not going to change my calorie intake much with a soda, I'm already eating a lot of food throughout the day to keep up with my regimen.

I'm glad you're looking into other options. You could probably get some nice inserts that would offer you the proper support too. That would allow you to stick with the boots, although not solve the issue of the ankle restriction.

I really wish that the military would offer appropriate footwear for the different kinds of athletic conditioning it mandates. Several people I know have been fucked by inadequate footwear (both military and civ). I'm certain they could get an endorsement from pretty much any company they asked.

I hear you there. I have a few pairs of XC spikes that I run races in, and if I have the spikes in I will get bruises on the bottoms of my feet if I have to run on the road for more than a few hundred m.
