I have the SGX (Chinese knockoff actually.) If I stick it in and do the PC muscle thing, it doesn't really do much for me. If you're not wearing anything snug fitting, (ie, jeans) I suppose you could get away with wearing an Aneros out and about, just don't plan to sit. Have you put anything in your ass before? You could probably go with something similar in size to what you've used. But if you go with a metal or glass toys, keep in mind that they don't compress. That soft dildo you've used was probably squeezed a bit by your ass. One on the other hand, since they don't compress, your ass can't "grab" onto them, so once you get past its maximum diameter, they slide in surprisingly easy.

The glass one is about the same size as a dildo I have. While the dildo was no problem for me, it took a while before I was able to get the plug in. The metal one next to it is a quarter inch wider and I haven't been able to get it in yet.
