Fellow long hairs, how do you keep your hair looking good? I have a lot of breakage when it comes to my hair. Any tips?

Personally, I use argan oil based shampoo, conditioner, and moisturizing treatment, and then after I've rinsed it out and towel dried my hair, I use argan oil as a leave in. I only comb with a wide tooth comb when it's wet or damp, and once my hair has dried, I brush with a boar bristle brush to distribute oil, and soften it. I never use a fine tooth comb, and when I'm drying my hair, I wrap it in a towel, and only use stroking motions, never harsh rubbing.

There are lots of guides on forums on how to take care of your hair.

There are so many things that could be going on and tons of tips that can be suggested.
I bought silk pillowcases because it's not as harsh on the hair and skin.
I rarely ever put my hair up, and when I do, it's never, ever a rubber band.
Always brush your hair gently from the bottom and slowly make your way up, so you can easily get knots out. I actually stop brushing and unravel knots with my hands to be extra careful.
Massaging your scalp can help strengthen the roots, from what I've heard.
You could be over-washing your hair or not getting enough of something in your diet. If you want to take supplements, biotin and fish oil are good for your hair.
Make sure you drink plenty of water. I drink a gallon a day.

I'm always jelly of your amazing length, but I think a trim would be great for your hair. I like my hair having straight ends because it makes it look more full, bushy as well as healthy, and I think a trim will do the same for you. The uneven ends make it look dull at the bottom, while the rest of your hair has a lovely shine.
