I'm not an expert I'll just say what I like. Petnames like 'poppet', 'little prince' and so on or just calling me a good boy makes me melt. Basically making me feel cute without making me feel feminine. Not that there's anything bad with being feminine at all, but the way it works (at least for me) is being made to feel young but masculine at the same time.
