There's probably just as many niggers and gays where I'm from (Oakland CA) so that's not going to be much of a shock at all.

I moved here a while ago from out of state too. Went to Buckhead first, and I make decent money, but it's pretty boring if you're not a millionaire. I now live in midtown which is way better. Straight, but on the heart of the "gayborhood". I like midtown better than any area I think. I like hanging out in the highlands though.

Yeah, from my first impression I hated buckhead but really liked midtown. I ended up settling on Decatur though just because it saved 15 minutes from my commute, and still has the amenities of midtown in a smaller setting. Hope that was the right choice.
