What do you personally do when a chick is giving you either one word answers or dead end answers. Like they almost don't know how to keep a conversation going. I get bored and just stop replying to them and move on. I'm not a naturally witty person, so sitting there trying to come up with a cool/interesting/whatever response to their dead-end answers isn't something I enjoy doing.
