Hey guys

Im an electronic music producer, planning on going professional next year. I love any kind of electronic music (except harsh noise), but i mainly produce dnb and ambient. Im quite knowledgable, so ask me anything!

I simply love talking about music and teaching others new things. Talk to me if you can show me new music, or if you want to learn how to make music.

18/m/Dutch if thats important to someone

im quite impressed, its hard to stay original with this kind of music, i think everything starts to blend into the same boring 4 chord mess that pop is nowadays, but james blake is definitely original. Good stuff anon. Coldplay would be another name who stays original, they keep experimenting with weird stuff.

what exactly is your question senpai

That Death Grips is fantastic! Its like the dark version of Yung Lean, where YL stands for the more relaxed and sad vibes, DG stands for the angry and frustrated feels. I dig it!

any suggestions on large orchestral electronic, i like the textural qualities and intense dynamism in electronic music and i think those qualities really complement the slow paced building nature of orchestral, i think my favorite parts of the james blake self titled reference to this building sound but it's not really grand orchestral because the albums really just electronic soul music
>any suggestions?

Im not much of an acoustic music guy, as far as that goes I like Grouper, Tycho (though thats probably electronic) and The Story So Far

David Bowie album is cool though. I cant help but think how i wouldve mastered some things differently and how empty the snare sounds if its not properly layered :)

Do you have a favourite Bowie song?
>>
>>23729959
Depends. If its the grandness of emotion youre after, i recommend listening to some trance, like Arty. This one has a drop and lots of electronic elements, but the chords and melodies are brilliant.

If you prefer a more classical-ish composition though, youll possibly like this more. Its very progressive.

If you just like the texture and dynamics of electronic sound design, without all the crazy EDMish stuff going on, you might like a pure soundscape like this

Hope this helps!

My problem with metal and heavy guitar stuff is that if I want to listen to something heavy Ill go listen to some dnb or dubstep. That stuff is way heavier than metal because its properly mixed and mastered.

If you like lofi UK stuff, you should check out Burial. His 'Untrue' album is widely regarded (among producers) as one of the best albums of all time.

What kind of drum&bass do you produce? I'm up for anything that's new or experimental. Well, that's not correct. I like the old stuff like Photek, Source Direct, Krust, etc. Please don't go with the two-step-party stuff/breaks.
