Not Rory. These people are overexagerating by claiming it's terrorism, but so many tabletop autists do make life terrible for any woman attempting to enter the hobby. A lot of the people in the hobby are creeps.

Speaking from personal experience, the following are behaviors I've dealt with. This is the highlight reel.

* A man thinking describing a detailed molestation of a 12 year old girl's character was appropriate. This was in a public game.
* A man thinking it's acceptable to try to lift up my skirt while I'm playing a game.
* Offers to buy my socks, mid game, unprovoked.
* Accusations that I am sucking a TO's dick because a ruling was in my favor - despite that I was demonstrably, 100%, correct.

There are a bunch of other things. And many, MANY attempts at violating my personal space.

Gaming does not have a white male terrorism problem. What is DOES have is a sexual harassment problem.

But this has nothing to do with lewds. So have an elf.

I don't think they're all full of shit. There are plenty of shitty things that happen to women, especially when entering a primarily male hobby. This isn't some "everything is racist, everything is sexist" scenario.

The thing is, using the loaded term is part of blowing things out of proportion. Also, I haven't really seen the show, but I imagine you could get more players by broadening the scope a little. There's James Bond, Charlie's Angels, other shows that can revolve around being spies with a different tone. Because you are running a hub profile anyway, you may as well be adaptable.

The typical Dungeons & Dragons game is bad for adding in sexual stuff, because it *always* gets in the way of things, simply because of how D&D works. Every time I've had sexual stuff in an actual game, it went badly (though that might have been because it was Touhoufag raping my characters). D&D is a very inorganic feeling game.

For other games, it can possibly work, though it can also still feel forced. Especially since the sex descriptions tend to have a very different tone from the rest of the game. Then again, combat is the same way, so if you do RPGs you're used to tonal differences.
Still, you might want to look into the VtR sourcebook "Strange Dead Love". It's all about one on one 'romance' roleplaying, and even gives advice for running one on one games with an erotic tone.

I'm aware. As I mentioned in /wodg/, if I try it again, I'm going to keep it to people I actually like and want to run for instead of opening the floodgates to EVERYONE and being unsure who exactly is even playing. I mean, not to harp on him too much, but Bunchacrunch spent like four days sitting in the channel and telling me how disgusted he was with the very CONCEPT of Changeling: The Lost, completely ignoring every attempt anyone made to point out that his understanding of the game was wrong, then Oros explained it to him and suddenly he loves WoD. And invited himself to the game and because I'm a nice guy, and I was expecting to run several short games (a bit of a daunting task in hindsight), I said sure whatever.

That kind of thing is just one little bit more that made it difficult for me to keep going. Plus, I just had this really massive drop in mood that I'm still recovering from. Side effect is that I'm less argumentative lately. I barely even pay attention to the wodg/.

I'm not really blaming him, I was just relaying that rather frustrating anecdote as an example of little problems. There's also the fact that I had maybe 12 people and no definitive player roster.

Werewolf was mostly out of my hands (though I should have started it sooner), but Changeling was pretty much all me. I got overwhelmed and then dragged my feet until everything piled up on me.

Replacing Lili wasn't really an option though. On the one front, I just didn't want to run the game without her because she seemed very interested in it. But beyond that, the entire game was built around collaborative character creation (although I handled that poorly, and it's another example of my lack of ability to provide structure).

You're someone who like me has quite clearly a bit of repressed and bottled up anger and stuff, and you of all people need to find some way to release it. I'm pretty damn vanilla and I'm not the best at doing subs. And when you're a GM, it isn't about you, it's about the players. Combine all that with the fact I'm a sucker for long-term romantic stuff rather than one-night stands with the wench in town, not a good combo. Even if I found players to go for it, can hardly have a person for each of the players tagging along and making fights both too easy and me controlling so many of both enemies and (meaningful) allies. Then playing all the NPCs in addition to playing the fleshed out love interests, which means multitasking if the players are interacting with them at once -- and multitasking for detailed post if it gets kinky. Could go the harem route but that means getting a singular character all the players enjoy appearance and kink wise and the addition of sharing and it just becomes a whole jumbled mess of fuck.

This is why however much I enjoy the concept of one, I stick to GMing regular games.

Not into voyeurism for the first, and the argument of 'so what you're still running a game' seems pointless because I could just run a normal game and not have to miss out on lewds.

For the second and third, yeah, that'd work well, but given the kind of games I like to run having a home base wouldn't work very well. Unless it was Overlord-style home base with teleports to different regions of the world. That could be neat, if a very high fantasy campaign. Or sci-fi with a big live-in starship that goes from world to world. That sorta thing. Doable, if not my bread and butter.

I don't necessarily agree with not getting kinky during the game session so long as everyone is getting kinky and the group isn't constrained by super schedule difficulties so we've got a lot of free time. So with those exceptions in mind, yeah, save getting kinky for out of game. Doesn't get rid of the multitasking problems if there's different things going on at once though.

I dunno, maybe I'll throw a few feelers out here and there to see what kind of folks get interested, but I'm certainly not holding my breath.

"no sex on session time" is of course not an absolute rule, but it is recommended in a lot of cases of practice.

Doing the sex takes a lot of time in OOC for a shorter event IC, while usually downtime activities are an inverse, so it causes time conflict; and thus it's easier to bring the sex to the same timeskip as other downtime.

Sex is also more often than not is one on one; and even if not still often includes just portions of the party. So it's more time efficient to do it at any time the two participants align; and leave the big dedicated time on which everybody is up to activities that do require everybody being up.
Of course you still totally can dedicate the time to everybody doing sexy things; just be careful not to leave anybody out.
Also it makes nice filler - if a portion of the group can't make it this night, you can get busy with the rest easily.

And for multitasking during group lewds - again it falls down to players getting down on other players. You don't have to have your fingers in /every/ ongoing sex pile.
