I have this birthmark on the back of my calf that's lighter than the rest of my skin, or at least it was when I was a kid growing up.

Checking it now, apparently the hair is growing out white/clear while the hair around that spot is dark. Weird.

I've got four scars on my face:
1) I got smacked in the head by a cricket bat
2)A table was pushed into my eye and cut the skin near the edge.
3) I was fighting with a friend and he managed to wack my chin with a pointy stick.
4) I got in a fight and my glasses were slammed into my face, the metal bit entered the bridge of my nose.

ouch! mine isn't very interesting. Was riding in thick gravel and buddy passed me and cut over too quickly in front. His back tire caught my front tire and sent me down onto the gravel. A rock punctured my knee. LMTY that's a horrible place to get an injury like this...it took forever to heal because I'd be playing sports and forget about it, bend the knee and the wound would re-open (TL:DR should've got stitches but didn't)

Had strange type of pectus excavatum where my whole chest was sunken in rather than just the center. Had two metal bars put inside. Bits sticking out on the side are the metals bars, not my rib cage. Got infected and spent about a month in hospital and lost a lot of weight.

Some people it effects their breathing capacity and endurance. For me it caused no problems apart from its appearance, didn't cause me any pain. The operation, did cause a lot of pain how ever!

The first 2 months or so were extremely painful. Was let out of hospital after 5 days after being on morphine. Once home I was unable to sleep on my bed as it hurt far too much to bed over so i simply slept on my chair with my legs on my bed. Lifting my shirt over my body hurt a lot so I didn't change clothes/shower as much as I should have.

My hair is darkbrown/black. I'm mixed english/thai

nothing, that's the problem. I think I covered it with gauze which I replaced frequently. It took a long time but it did eventually heal. Love being poor (this happened a long time ago tho)

I did have some before pictures but can't find where i saved them. Not looked at them for years now. But just imagine one of those skinny african children who have big bellies.

Took this picture just now. Its still a bit weird and wonky but I'm happy with it. I used to be obsessed with having the perfect looking chest being going in for the operation. I was born with an extra bone in my feet and it was causing me too much pain and fucked me up the point I could barely jump or run anymore. Had it, 1/4 of the muslce in both of my legs removed and couldn't walk for about 13 months.

Well I haven't really had any major injuries/defects or wipeouts. I've gotten a few scrapes that healed, and I have a birthmark on my neck that most people think is a mole. Nothing that serious, excluding my teeth.

My teeth used to be GNARLY, like they didn't look too bad to me but I never smiled and it was clearly awful. People would lie and say that they were cute and had "character" but I could tell it was just because they liked me as a person and saw past my teeth (which was great) but I never could get over them...

I just got braces about a year ago and seeing the before and after, I don't even feel like they're the same teeth...

My orthodontist told me that my teeth, even though I had never had a cavity and didn't have any gum disease or anything too bad, were in the top three WORST CASES of teeth he had seen to get braces, and was going to put my teeth molds/pics on his before/after wall in the hallway (ofc now that I've moved to Spain he can't do that since it is only halfway his work.)

Well, there were a lot of issues my orthodontist had to deal with. My jaw was misaligned due to my teeth locking in poorly, so I was biting down with my jaw shifted a bit to the left.

I had a slight overbite.

One of my canine teeth was twisted up (as you can see) and the other one was my last baby tooth (pic related, tooth that doesn't have a bracket/covered by the tip of my tongue) that had never come out. This meant that I needed to get it pulled. The adult canine is still up in my gums.

My wisdom teeth were all dangerous. My bottom wisdom teeth were in literally sideways attacking the roots of my other molars whereas the upper ones were dangerously placed.

Every single solitary tooth was crossbitten.

And lastly I had a largely crowded mouth.

Pic related was taken a few months ago, right before I had my wisdom teeth taken out as well as the baby tooth. My adult canine still hasn't come in yet, but my wisdom teeth extraction has healed wonderfully. I love my teeth now and it's an amazing difference and I'm only halfway done!

Chewing is a lot easier and I feel a lot more confident. Braces help improve overall life satisfaction by a LOT.

Because I dye/have dyed my hair strawberry blonde and it matched at the time better with gold! My orthodontist in Indiana said gold was increasing in popularity and that lots of people with red hair chose them because it looked nicer. I was hesitant but eventually caved. Then of course I moved countries....

I'm most likely the only person in Spain with gold braces now, which is unfortunate. When I first arrived in the country, someone at the company my mother works for took me to one of the medical facilities there. All of the Spanish orthodontists and dental assistants rushed in the room and just stared at my teeth. A few of them asked if it was real gold (no lmao). Everyone was perplexed, said they don't have gold braces here. FML. I felt kind of like a science experiment!

I haven't seen an Orthodontist yet since I've only been here a month but I'm going to see them in two weeks. I'll most likely have to ask my old orthodontist to ship any new wires/the bracket for when my tooth comes down but for now I'll just deal with silver wires. I don't care how it looks really anymore haha, I'm just happy to have my teeth fixed.

How ever as you see the picture of me carrying that little bucket of fluid to drain the empyema. That was done with local which i absolutely hated. Being awake is far more terrifying. You can't feel the pain, but you can still "feel" them praying apart your rib bones. Though in this case I did feel a huge shock of pain due to him not injecting enough anaesthetic.

Was in a car accident which snapped my femur in multiple areas, and crushed my knee cap. Had a surgery that replaced my femur with a metal bar and had 6 pins to hold it in place until another surgery that connected the bar to my pelvis. No kneecap anymore, so i can hyper-extend my leg and gross people out, so i guess that's a plus.

i was a real sickly kid and was completely paralyzed from like 5-6.5 and then slowly started getting better, but my right arm is still entirely paralyzed aside from my hand and it's all skinny and janky bc no muscle and frequently pops out of the socket/hangs out of it on the reg, the right side of my chest is super concave bc again no muscle tone, and my left leg is shorter than my right leg so i have a limp and the foot doesn't go flat, i'm always on my tip toes on that foot and the leg is really skinny compared to the other
