I have been reading so many random articles about "World ending" Or "Climate change will kill us soon" I want to know /SCI/ view just cause, I believe we can adapt to this climate change and survive but maybe I am just dumb.

We can, but it'll be damn expensive.
Of course we can adapt; we're human.
Doomsayers are overplaying their hand. It's traditional community vs corporate oversight issues only on a global scale. Which makes it extremely awkward and touchy because it's not just a matter of internal politics, but the competitive global economy.

No you haven't. Can you stop lying, faggot?

Why the homophobia?

So that's a no.

even if climate change was real, it'd be too late to do anything about it

I mean I am not lying but okay.

But you are. How queer.

You are dumb. Agriculture is going to collapse as the major effect of climate change. And more sooner than later I think.

In the subtropics, latitudes 23.5 - 40,
will lose 50-75% of their rain by the time warming reaches 450ppm/2C levels

So long as we keep emitting large amounts of greenhouse gasses, there won't be a steady state for us to adapt to.

We can adapt in the sense that we will adjust our behavior to fit the changing world, but biologically climate change will happen faster than humans can adapt. That being said, the change won't be so dramatic that humans will die out as a direct result. It will just really suck for a while during the adjusting period.
Humanity will survive it, people will die, and it is going to suck for a while.
Important note: we would adjust to the environment even if the changes were entirely beneficial, and people would still die anyway.
