Are Eco-Halogen lightbulbs any different from Halogen lightbulbs,

These suck turbococks, they die much earlier than old incandescent bulbs.

I broke a lightbulb of the exact brand in the OP pic a year ago. I'm not sure if they're any different from a regular halogen bulb -- they look identical in terms of construction at least.

I fuckin hope they're not hazardous or some shit, because I just assumed it'd be like any another halogen bulb and threw the broken bulb in the trash

you have to call a hazmat unit if you break one of these. they have mercury in them

My grandma had me change her CFLs in ber garage once. When I asked her what to do witht the old ones, she said to just throw them in the garbage. The wouldn't fit so she just told me to break them in half. That day probably shortened my life expectancy by 2 years.
