No, he's telling the truth. JGrasp won't have an intellisense equivalent. The professor probably picked that IDE on purpose to keep people from lazily abusing code completion features.

In my Freshman Programming course I'm being taught in C (the C not C++).
Here In my uni they will taught later C++, Assembly & Arduino.
Pretty low level desu.
