Ive got a giant inflatable cloud I'm trying to get 15ft into the air with a 20-40lb payload capacity. the balloon has a total interior volume of 5,660ft^3. how much helium do I need to fill it with? the material its made of has 4mil perforation. any of you balloon or blimp experts?
pic related, similar design but mine is larger.
why would ants need to lift 20-40lbs?
At any rate, do as professional ballooners do and just fill until it is doing what you want. You're going to end up having to fudge your numbers anyway because things like ambient temperature and insolation are going to fuck up your calculations anyway.

I need to know how much helium to order.

1.) look up typical carrying strength of a common weather balloon
2.) look up how much helium is used in a typical weather balloon.
3.) use more or less, depending on carrying strength of weather balloon.
research is important.

You already know the volume you want to fill and that's usually how helium is sold. Literally just call your helium provider.
160 thousand litres

do you mind showing the math?
if you fill it with less helium then it will be lighter. order the least amount possible.

Then the best results would be from not putting any helium in there at all!
>Homeopathic balloons!
D = m/v
Where d has has to be < than air
Duh
Depends on conditions (temp and pressure) if filled completely it's more than enough you need a string to keep it from flying away and~29 kg of helium don't pop the ballon there may be extra
