Anyone here card count and can share experiences? I'm currently studying the Hi-Lo method and basic strategy, live in CT next to 2 casinos in state and Atlantic City not too far off. I've heard of other advanced methods which I plan to study after mastering Hi-Lo, does anyone know which ones are the most effective?

Hi-lo worked good enough to get kicked out of a local casino for me. Their fault. They had 2 deck 5 dollar games. Last I heard they don't have those any more.
>willingly going to Atlantic City
are you insane, man

Well it's closer than Vegas, plus I like Wildwood, New Jersey. Seems like a bad idea to hit up the same 2 casinos, If I get pretty good it would be something I'd want to do bi-monthly. Use the winnings to invest in stocks and as disposable income

It should be illegal to kick somebody out of a casino for winning. It's seriously fucked up how the government is protecting scams that pray on stupid old people

Atlantic City briefly allowed open card counting, it didn't last long

It won't work anywhere in AC as far as i know. Note that if blackjack pays 6-5 the game is essentially unbeatable. Also I think all their casinos have continuous shuffle or run a gigantic shoe now.
Just learn poker. if you play like a nit you can break friday/saturday night morons for a lot of money and it's pretty low risk. Kind of boring though.

I heard they don't use them at the high rollers tables.
I briefly got into card counting and I literally could not find a single casino that offered blackjack under favorable conditions/rules. Not one. The best I could find was an 8 deck game where the DEALER cut the shoe himself smack in the middle every time. That was the best I could find. All the rest were bullshit 6:5 payouts, bullshit stay on soft 17, or other meme restrictions that made it impossible to count.
