That makes no sense... It's the fastest possible speed of anything. If you want to cross distances faster than you have to decrease the distance. You can make the speed of light slower if you are moving through a different medium but the speed of light through a vacuum is set and you'll never get it faster.

You can't. It's impossible. If you want to cross massive distances faster than is possible the only way to do it is to make the two points you want to travel between closer together. Nothing can or will ever outpace the speed of light in a vacuum.
