I think he's saying use words as a trigger and actually focus. Most people are such a part of their own environment. They're too busy being themselves to learn anything. You need to shut up and listen. Take what you have heard and attach it to whatever word. For example to learn Spanish you look at the word what? and think que? And you do this a few times and now you've tied the two together in your head.

This seems like some real elementary stuff but given how most people are such shit at learning perhaps they actually need to be taught how to look at a simple thing and actually incorporate it into their mind
