Are we living in a simulation, /sci/? Is your "consciousness" just a simulation running on some autist's computer?

Occam's razor says no
If we are, why does it matter?
And what about all the fossils and older stuff?

Are we living in a dream /sci/? Is your "consciousness" just something some autist dreamed up?

we're living in some undergraduate comp sci group's final project for a class
>universe constantly expanding due to a memory leak in force propagation
>weak ass gravity exists because of floating point subtraction rounding error
>sub-planck particles never implemented, they submitted the project with the Math.Random() placeholder code still in it
>couldn't write efficient dynamic algorithms for irrational constants, so they just quantized the universe instead so they could hardcode in shit that was close enough
>laws of physics artificially change based on magic number ensemble temperatures, artificially coded in
>never implemented static reference frame singleton. professor gave them an interpolation API to help them with this but they couldn't figure out how to import the library
>physics were instead computed iteratively about every arbitrarily significant ensemble in memory
they probably got a C+

what if I punched you? would the pain make you feel real?
