Is there any scientifically proven methods to induce or predispose someone to lucid dreaming?
Pic unrelated.

No, but there are unscientifically proven methods.

Check the papers written by Stephen LaBarge, he's really the only dude that's written published literature on lucid dreaming.

I had the longest, most vivid and free lucid dream of my life after watching 2 3D movies on my GearVR headset before bed. I've heard quite a few anecdotal reports that VR use increases the lucidity of dreams, but I've yet to replicate it to that degree. After more frequent use of VR my frequency of lucid dreams seems to have returned to default.
Nothing like a good lucid dream. Hopefully someone comes out with some sort of TDCS device that triggers lucid dreams every night in the near future, although the chance is slim. I'm pretty sure those LED masks are a scam, although I've never tried them.
No but here's some anecdotal evidence
I find it much easier if I wake up like 3 hours before I normally would, then go to sleep again thinking about it

I find that when I sleep on my back I always get sleep paralysis, 1/10 times I can take sleep paralysis into a lucid dream.
It's amazing
>dream you are parylized
>try really hard to roll off the bed
>paralyzed on the floor now
>scream for help
>no one hears you
>wake up paralyzed in bed again
Rinse and repeat
>realize you are dreaming
>fly out the window
>fly above the trees
>just like a dragon fly
>ohhh oh OH YEAH
Probably hypnotic suggestion or a brainwave ray, or both. Certainly if my alarm clock going off can become a boat blasting a fog horn in my dream then the other guy's voice can become whatever he's in there saying quietly into my ear. Hope no one is doing that to me, I will destroy them for it they do. They should demonstrate fear not be emboldened play stupid games.

What the fuck is going on there?
