If the speed of light is the fastest unit of speed, how are some stars and galaxy's etc moving away from us faster than the speed of light so that we will never see them?
Or maybe every thing this applies to is moving in an oppersite direction to us so it works out they arnt moving faster than light but we are just seperating faster than the speed of light can travel
Im confusing myself already someone please enlighten me
They are not "moving" in this sense. The point in space that they occupy is dialating on a dimensional level.

are you saying every thing in space we cant see because of the distance is growing faster than the speed on light sits on the sort of edge of the universe and this wouldnt be possibile if they were in the middle of the galaxy so to speak?
Is this what makes the observable univserse?

No, he's saying that inflation is not acceleration, two dots on the surface of a balloon don't "accelerate" away from one another when you blow the balloon up, it is the space in between that is simply growing.

ohhh thats a really good analogy, well said. Thanks for the info i understand now
