Can /sci/ comprehend what would actually happen if an alien race somehow traveled to earth?
They would have most likely
>1) unlocked FTL travel and anti gravity
>2) solved the energy crisis on their planets
>3) avoided catastrophic climate change that is inevitable with industrial expansion
>4) developed terraforming capabilities
>5) developed superweapons and superstructures
>6) most likely unified quantum mechanics with general relativity meaning they can teleport shit from one part of the galaxy to another
You can't win against a force like that /sci/. The odds are 100:0. There is no alternate reality where humanity wins against a foe like that.
You straight up bend on your knees and suck their dick hoping they don't annihilate us into dust with their 10000 megaton anti-matter cold fusion bomb
I'd rather be instantly vaporized than surrender and have a device implanted in my cerebrum giving me maximum pain unless I do exactly what they say until the planet has been developed and my last remaining economical use is to be pulped and added to the biovats.

Saged and reported.

what purpose would earth serve them over the millions of other planets and asteroids with even more resources?
What is in it for them to visit some trash solar system with only a handful of planets, most being gas or barren, and one being on the verge of depletion?
>>9084857
Isn't it obvious?
Nuclear Fusion needs water.
Earth is 70% water.
>>9084881
does it have to be liquid?
>>9084838
Or, we follow exactly what you just said...
AND BECOME THE ALIENS.

>unlocked FTL travel
Not necessarily. They could have a very long lifespan, travel in hibernation, or build generation ships.
>anti gravity
wtf makes you think this?
>solved the energy crisis on their planets
I agree that this is likely.
>avoided catastrophic climate change that is inevitable with industrial expansion
Not necessarily, in fact catastrophic climate change could be what compelled them to migrate.
>developed terraforming capabilities
Not necessarily.
>developed superweapons and superstructures
Not necessarily.
>most likely unified quantum mechanics with general relativity meaning they can teleport shit from one part of the galaxy to another
Not necessarily.
Humans are already capable of building crude interstellar ships, at least theoretically, and we're nowhere close to being godlike. While aliens visiting us would likely have a more advanced technology, they might be only like a century ahead of us or even less. Think of what we could already accomplish as a species without all the bullshit and infighting that slow us down.

Nuclear fusion needs hydrogen, which is the most abundant element in the universe. Even water is fairly abundant, and in the extremely unlikely case where aliens would come to our system for water it would be much more convenient for them to mine comets in the outer solar system than extract water from Earth's gravity well. By the way, Earth isn't 70% water, its surface is covered 70% by water.

Yes. Humans go bye-bye. I welcome our alien overlords.

>Humans are already capable of building crude interstellar ships
Don't worry Squanto, so what if the Pilgrims have ships that can cross the Atlantic? We have dugout canoes!
You're right, Tonto! Besides, our arrows can shoot further than their muskets.
>>9084838
But do they have futa porn and doritos?
>>9084857
Cause our extinction before we become competition to them
