snakes are one of the few animals that eat things whole, and they are only thicc when they've got something in their gullet, I would expect a similar elasticity from charizard if that hypothesis were true. On the other hand, being that charizard is an effective fire type, his chubbiness could be indicative of the vast reserves of energy/calories he needs to store in order to maintain an active reserve of "firepower"
