A lot of things in mathematics and science were discovered independently in both Asia and Europe, but they lacked the Greeks and their philosophy which also inspired much of the later European science and math. Though there was some exchange through the silk road.

Also with the age of exploration and colonization we exported a lot of science to other parts of the world. So those independently discovered things are still credited to European scientists and mathematicians

this came about because europe had enough resources to lead to a surplus of wealth ,and for those born to well off families there is more time to spend on more abstract pursuits such as science and maths as opposed to putting food on the table.

White people always had privileges throughout history and tended to be more wealthy so they had more access to higher education. But if you look well into earlier times, majority of well known intellectuals were arabs or studied in the middle east/africa (library of alexandria as an example). In Africa there is food supply year round. There are always fruits to pick or animals to hunt. Dealing with the heat is simple, just sit under a tree and cool off for a bit.

Europeans needed to stock pile food, harvest leather for clothing, build durable shelters that can keep them warm in the winter. Their need for tools was far greater than their warm climate cousins.

Surviving a cold climate is much harder than surviving in a warm one.

There are no superstars in science. It's a process.

For example, without the Islamic Golden Age, or the Greeks, or the Egyptians with the Library of Alexandria, then Europe would not have advanced as quickly. Science is the pursuit of knowledge, and everyone is trying to get it. Who happens to be first at getting certain parts of it is irrelevant. Someone somewhere will have found it.
