How do scientists draw conclusions about cultures and peoples outlook in a culture? If you say x culture loves burgers, how do you find out? How do you actually draw any concrete facts out of any methods they use?

Usually scientists use a system called the scientific method to come to the conclusion about something that may be apparent in a specific culture. As you said, for example X culture may like burgers and the way they go about determing this is by formulating a null hypothesis (an assumption). The null hypotheses may be structured as: culture X loves burgers because of a wide range of available fast food outlets. With that hypothesis scientists will conduct various observations, measurements and suveys etc. Based on the data the researchers collect, they will then accept or reject the null hypothesis and make their conclusion.
If they accept the null hypothesis, it would be concluded that culture X loves burgers because of a wide range of available fast food outlets.
Hope that helps.

They don't. Sociology and anthropology are a joke.

There are no "facts" in those fields. Shit just gets spitballed, and a bunch of (((experts))) just agree on whatever they feels like based on whatever evidence they choose to believe.
Almost always this: >>9015482
However you can do some basic analysis to show that something occurs often. Much of anthropology is unfortunately a collection of anecdotes and the researcher's opinions of the data.
