Would being more swole help prevent against injury in a car crash?
I keep hearing that bracing for impact and tensing your muscles increases the risk of injury. If this is true, wouldn't being more swole increase your risk of injury because it makes your body more rigid?
According to Australian science, you want to be built as similar to Graham as possible

Hahahaha are you (and I'm seriously asking) retarded?

in general muscles absorb impact, more muscles == less damage
being swole also just makes you healthier in general, you'll heal faster and shit

a nice layer of fat does the same trick, even better

not really.
i do boxing. you can tense muscle, you cant tense fat. its easier to hurt fatties than fit people.
then again fatties usually have less experience, so either they havent learned to take a punch yet or their form is shitty and they take punches badly

how about a knife then

I have zero idea why having muscle mass in other places wouldn't help and I believe it would especially preventing spinal injury with a well developed posterior chain.
But in terms of research I do know we tend to find a negative correlation between neck strength and likely hood of concussion.

being fat is mor dangerous because the seatbelt is stopping slower
you can pull a seatbelt out but if you pull to fast it will stop
if your skiny the seatbelt will sit firmly on your muscels and bone structure and will almost instantly stop if your body is thrown forward.
if your fat and crash the seatbelt has to move throught the fat to stop this causes the seatbelt to stop a few split seconds later but in a crash this can be a lot.

What?
The seat belt is strong and pyrotechnically tightened. If you go through that the seatbelt will act like a cheese string.
