if soft science got the same attention/funding as hard, climate change denial wouldn't be a thing. Hard science is seen as "real" because it's white male and profitable. Soft is delegitimized because it's not. Hard science only makes sense in its own worldview, it's not universal or more rational than other cosmologies. It's classist to assume that it is.
