I used Khanacademy to aid me in learning precalculus and I think it did a good job but how is it for learning calculus?

Read a book, at least along side with it.

But what I like about khanacademy is the generated exercises and how it keeps track of everything.

I'd say use Khan Academy to get a basic intuition, then read the corresponding section in Stewart or Anton or whatever book you like best. Make sure you work through EVERY example in Stewart and make sure you do as many of the exercises as you can, young nigga. (Don't worry about the ones where there are just 50 derivatives/integrals in a row, just solve as many of those as you need to feel comfortable)
