>QM for Engineers Class
>Professor gives out full sheets of notes, like pic, for use on midterms
>>8838085
>one shitty school does this
>therefore all schools do this
Yaaawn
Engineer here, never had a cheat sheet for a test while in QM, even though it's a Midwest state school
Next
>>8838085
engineering must be pretty fucking hard
i wouldn't even be able to solve anything even with that sheet, i can't even understand any of it
>>8838108
Then you're retarded because that's first year quantum mechanics in physics undergrad
>>8838840
Pretty ignorant way of thinking. Why would you ever assume that someone who has never studied a subject immediately understand it upon a cursory view of cheat sheet? You're a joke.
>>8838856
> on /sci/
> being this salty about being a brainlet
Because memorizing equations themselves might be somewhat useful, but what is more important is understanding the equation.
Wasting time memorizing them distracts from understanding them, and the tutors can write exams that focus more on applying the equations rather than memorization.
That is why open book exams are superior for subjects like this.
I wouldn't expect a /sci/ brainlet to understand this. Memorization is the only thing they are good at.
>>8838085
And?
I mean it's a shitty cheat sheet.
Cheat sheets should only have what you'd actually look up in a text.
"Never memorize what you could look up"

Physics major here. Who cares, having a cheat sheet is fine. If you don't understand QM this won't really help you too much anyway. Why are physics people constantly trying to shit on engineering people?
>>8838108
you plug in the variables and play it. its like highschool
>>8838085
>combining ℏ/2m with ∂2/∂x2
REEEEE
>>8839510
Because when a normie says engineering school is 'hard' they don't mean intellectually challenging concepts and understanding. They mean workload and grinding; ie things you use a cheatsheet or reference for.
>caring this much about what about other people think of your major
>tfw muh liberal arts
>>8839510
Because they're not in it for the love of it and they've realised they're going to make less money doing a harder course.
>>8838085
I don't see what the problem is. Aren't these just notes?
