Guys, I have math related question
Let's assume that Asians comprise 5.6% of US population
If an airplane inbound for Kentucky chooses to randomly boot 4 passengers, what is the chance that three of those passengers are Asians?
>>8820265
Where the plane comes from.
>>8820265
>I have to go home
There goes your experimental setup. US demographics are not representative of those of airline passengers.
>>8820265
that statistic is so high because of California.
most parts of America you would be lucky to see an asian person. if you did it would probably be a mail order wife of a white guy.
>>8820265
> 4 Asians
You don't get to bring friends
>>8820265
>the chance
Lrn2probabilly fgt pls
I doubt the algorithm corresponds to a simple random sample. Its most likely heavily weighted by ticket price or by some algorithm United uses to determine who is likely to be a repeat customer.
>>8820953
Or they just manually picked people with asian names first because they assumed theyd be easier to deal with, then just claimed they used a computer to do it
>>8820953
It's based on who paid the least for their ticket as well as who checked in to the flight last.
>>8820976
Not even asians are immune to the minority syndrome sjwism these days eh?
We're going to hell in a hand basket.
>>8820976
So this is what people warned about AIs being racists
>>8820886
Or perhaps he's wondering why someone would determine someone's race before throwing him out of a plane
>>8820265
Well if its weighted by those who paid least for the ticket I would say 100% of Asians I know are skinflints... ...so.
