An Introduction to An Introduction to Quantum Field Theory.
why would you have books under your belt. you're supposed to read them
>>8809489
never thought about it like that before desu

Obviously some quantum at the level of Shankar or Sakurai. I'd recommend taking a look at Mandl and Shaw for baby field theory. Read Zee's qft alongside it.

Get gud with path integrals

Whether or not the path integral is well defined depends on what the action is.

^this one...
also lahiari and pal, and sredniki... you can also find a solution manual to sredniki...
If you want to go more into theory, ryder is also good... if you want to go more into particle physics halzen and martin is also good...
also dont forget griffiths elementary particles... that book a really good intro...
thanks lads

Read this excerpt from one of my professors tor his quantum field theory course at UT.
http://bolvan.ph.utexas.edu/~vadim/Classes/2017s/QFT.html
He is not teaching it again next fall unfortunately, but I follow his advice really seriously.
Granted, this is a QFT course to prepare grad students going into string theory, so it is a little more than it needs to be.
Correct me if I'm wrong but one should know: electrodynamics, classical mechanics (Lagrangian and Hamiltonian formalism), quantum mechanics, and probably some particle physics with group theory thrown in there.
