In this video Elon's """lover"" admits she is a golddigger and Elon is obviously very awkward socially/romantically. This seems common past a certain intelligence threshold. Is there a scientific link between high intelligence and social awkwardness/lack of dating prospects?

Considering most major geniuses throughout history, male and female have had either HFA or Asperger's syndrome and both of those come with 'social awkwardness'? Yes, yes is the answer to your question.

>Majority of geniuses that have 'changed the world' have show to exhibit HFA or Aspergic traits and have often been profiled by professional psychiatrists as having near autistic spectrum traits, or actual autistic traits.
>Correlation does not imply causation.
Are you even reading what you write? Many of them, including Elon, have autism or exhibit near autistic spectrum levels of said traits, which include social awkwardness (as a trait that classifies you on the autistic spectrum).
And yes, autistic people can learn to socialise. I have Asperger's syndrome, as so long as I'm not tired or overworked, it is very hard to tell from interacting with me, because I taught myself how to socialise.
However, it shows, certainly in Musk (your example) when he is interacting, not only with the crew, but his own family, that he has social awkwardness.
Feynnman sounds and acts like a fuckin autist but hes got dat sperg swag

It's a matter of how you contextualize the world and your interactions with it. These kind of people tend to want to dissect everything, and frankly this approach is counter-intuitive in typical social interaction.
Such as it is, people who are socially "normal" do most basic socializing without active consideration of the nuances of the interactions themselves. Rather it simply flows, and from this arises a "genuineness" with reflects in a sense that how one acts isn't calculated, but is strictly a reflection of their mood and internal conceptions. Social awkwardness springs literally from "trying too hard," which is to say actually having to "try" in the same sense that a "normal" person might when they are nervous.
Hell, watch a perfectly normal girl try to interact with a crush, and she'll seem autistic. Her ability to interact via instinct is disrupted by her nerves. You'll observe she starts trying to calculate what she does, aiming to impress, and the lack of "genuineness" is something you can see a mile away.
To succeed in business you actually have to have a very well functioning social skill set, because you need to be able to relate with your customers and know what they want, without them being able to explicitly tell you so. He's also an excellent communicater actually. He breaks down complex new technologies into tweets.
The scene with the wife, well, he probably has some mesochist fetish and likes being treated like dirt by his girlfriend (at least i do).
