Why would we weaponise ants? Have you ever seen the scene from the 200 hit classic starring Ben Stiller, where Ben Stiller, also known in the movie as Larry Daley in the movie, gets hit with small arrows shot at him by miniature people? The movie was innovative when it came out. Fairly uninteresting plot, but a fun concept. The characters were so-so, but all in all, I'd see the movie in cinema again if I had the chance.

Imagine a scenario where the terrorists took over a small military outpost and the u.s. needs to flush them out without firing a bullet or risking a marine's life.

we can just drop a payload of genetically engineered and weaponized fireants that would carry a lethal virus that has a kill switch and the terrorists would be overrun and killed by the fireants.

Once the virus is dead and the terrorists is killed we can just walk over and brush the ants away and retake the outpost! Come on you have to understand how marvelous the whole idea is!

We can even do the same with ticks for stealth tactics on enemies as well if you like.

1. modern soldiers from rich countries are barely in danger, a truck driver or a cashier has a more dangerous job
2. specialised soldiers are necessary because the goal isn't to randomly slaughter everyone, it's to exert control and be precise in your actions
3. threats are no good if they're eliminated, i guarantee any significant propagation and power a terrorist group might have is due to foreign funding and military assistance, usually from the U.S, present terrorists operating in the middle-east are propped up and assisted by U.S/Saudi Arabia/Israel. "terrorists" are usually just a single piece within a proxy war and proxy wars are just a single piece in geopolitics and economic control
