Why do you say biology is inferior to chemistry/physics/maths and for grills ?

Girls are dumb as fuck.
Biology is basically memorizing shit, even a girl can do this.

Biology coursework is pretty much designed to compliment the way the educational system tells you to study, which is yeah, just memorizing shit, at least in undergrad.
>>
because biology is less about solving problems with deductive reasoning and more about memorising information.

because the conceptual barrier for understanding biology is lower than understanding physics or the physics of chemistry.

every thing or system in molecular biology can almost always be explained as "x activates receptor y which causes y to release z which activates p which catalyses q to r which activates [...]" not very difficult to understand compared to say the grand orthogonality theorem and how to use it.

this makes bioology a subject which you do not need as high an IQ to do well at, since the only real way a university course can ramp up the difficulty is by setting students to memorise a larger body of facts that could be tested on the exam
>>
I like bio/soft science grills. Hard science chicks are constantly trying to prove how smart they are its pretty annoying and cringey. And bullshit major girls are just too stupid and usually whores
>>
>>8752287
literally red dit, both your post, pic and replies

only undergrads say this (~90% of sci), because their academic experience comes almost solely from taking courses, and not doing any research

that's just how biology is, it's a lot of information to learn in a short amount of time, and it's all necessary to do research.

once you get beyond babby academics (1-3 year undegrad courses), this whole idea is gone.

You guys have an undergrad understanding of science. Science isn't about what classes you take. Biology experiments involve a lot of abstract reasoning, it's just that to get to the point where you have an accurate mental model of complex biological systems, you need to learn shitloads of information.

So it sounds like you're accepting that Bsc and msc biology is easier and requires less problem solving through deductive reasoning , i.e. the thing that requires IQ) than bsc and msc physics or mathematics

This.

Lots of good research in agriculture, psychology, food science, evolutionary strategies, and biochem.

Just because a bunch of girls want to memorize things by rote and research exotic fish, doesn't mean the whole field is shit.

I'm not even in biology.

nudes?

So much this.
>>

People in the sciences dont actually say this. Get past your undergrad years and you'll see what I mean.
Biology is extremely important in research because a lot of biological concepts form the background for the research.
It is a good bit of learning terminology though.
Can you name all the metabolic pathways with all the intermediates and reactions?
I dont think anyone can, yet it is extremely important for understanding research.
>>
>>8752287
Anyone who fails to appreciate a pillar of science simply hasn't studied it
>>

Yeah, but I don't really care about IQ. And besides, Bio PhD. students at top institutions (like me) are obviously going to be smarter than math and physics major plebs at second-rate schools (the majority of /sci/.) This whole "major power rankings" meme is just mediocre undergrads trying to lump themselves in with the entirety of their field, but the reality is most won't even get to do research in their field (because physics PhD's are a meme and there are no jobs.)
