Any Medfags out there can help me out?
>Be me
>Exercise on elliptical 4 times a week
>All of sudden my right knee starts making cracking noises when I bend it
>Shrug it off
>Then suddenly I start feeling stinging pain around my knee area whenever I exercise for more than 20 minutes
I've never had this problem before and it only affects my right knee so I'm p sure it's not arthritis
What could be the cause?

Stop exercising it. Take it easy. Take an over the counter anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen a couple of times. Rest it for TWO WEEKS. If there's any increase in pain during that time, go to a doctor.
chondromalacia

What are the dangers of exercising under these conditions? Will my kneecap explode? But in a serious note I guess I can take a break for a few weeks and place my exercise routine on hold.

this.
I wouldn't take anti-inflammatory though, nflamation helps healing imo.
I've had issues with my knees, same thing, subtle cracking noises that started after intense exercise (multiple hours hiking).
I had xrays and an MRI done, turns out it's due to genetic predeposition+being fat and overusing my knees.
It's guaranteed to get worse over your lifetime, but it's not a big deal if you take care of it.
Go to a doc, if it's something like what I have, they'll recommend losing weight, working on your quadriceps and kneecap stabilization muscles as well as taking it easy. Don't keep going if it feels off.
You could have tweeked your leg in any number of ways. Maybe you bent it the wrong way when you went down some stairs. Maybe you slept on it funny. Maybe you sat crosslegged too long, etc. Could be anything.

just take it easy for a few weeks and it will probably be fine. Keep in mind that leg pain like this sometimes takes a good long time to feel better. If it still hurts in a month that's when you should worry and see a doctor.
You have leg cancer. Cut it off before it spreads.

Just use webmed, it's better than any doctor you could see.

You deserve it for using the elliptical tbhfaggot.

the elliptical is the best for your knees though, sounds like you're a moron.

>I exercise for more than 20 minutes
So you bought into the strenuous exercise FAD.
