any surgeons or people with intense knowledge of human anatomy and physiology on tonight? I have questions
I have a limited base, mostly of gross anatomy
>t. PA-C
But ask anyway, a few legitimate docs float this board
>mfw most doctors don't have a PhD

I want to be part of the first procedure to have 2 extra arms attached to my body. I don't know how feasible this is though. I mean, realistically, could there be a way?

I also like the idea of wings, but some preliminary research suggests that isnt really possible because we're too heavy.

Do you think someone with a background in medical laboratory sciences and has had pretty minimal patient contact has a chance at getting into a PA school?
yeah 4 years
>4 years of bachelor's degree, with retardely competitive admissions requirements for even the shittiest D.O. schools
>4 years of medical school
>3-7 years of residency
>Optionally many more years of fellowships

Not him, but PA school wants literally thousands of patient contact hours. More then medical schools. Quick way to get hours would probably be working in EMS tho.

That's disappointing. I have a lot of clinical knowledge and have a passion for healthcare but I lack the patient hours. I can't financially justify working a different position though as I'm currently making 60k as a MLS(ASCP). And it would be a significant downgrade in pay to work somewhere else for a few years.

Doctors wear the white and the nurses wear the blue.

All the schools I had applied to required at least 2,000 patient contact hours, essentially a full time job for a little over half a year. Some schools preferred 4,000 hours.
It's really school dependent. Some schools don't require a GRE, some do, contact hours varies, some offer the BS - others MS (and the MS route will soon be the bare minimum to practice).

Arms? Why not go the whole hog and have bionic lobster claws?
