I think there are people who are smart but lazy and people who are organized but dumb. Sometimes they are both smart and work hard but it's rare.
The reason why it's rare is because when you're smart enough you don't really feel like overworking because you can do everything at the last moment just before the deadline and still that would be good enough.
Now when you're dumb you can't afford doing the same thing because you it's impossible for you to do the same. Imo all chinks, gooks and japs are stupid. Working hard associated with success in those azn cultures.
