>can't learn with a real book for grown adults
>have to plow through 80+ "exercises" per section on stewart books
if you get it don't do the excersizes
>"Hey, this learning method isn't working for me..."
>"Better keep doing it, haha maybe /sci/ is right, I'm a brainlet!"
Stop coming here. Honestly, it's for your health at this point.

Bullshit, OP you need to do at least 10 exercises.
Are the exercises in Linear Algebra Done Right supposed to be this hard or am I just a brainlet?
>>8731018
Its always hard in the beginning its like learning a new language
Deal with it
>>8731027
I'm just wondering if they should be this difficult to start or if I'm missing some prerequisite information
I worked through How To Prove It and I've already learned Calc I - III but I can only really get ~1/2 the exercises correct in each section.

>learned calc 3
>can integrate over n dimensional manifolds
>struggles with linear algebra
Somehow I don't believe you, at all, in the slightest.

You should always do all the exercises my man. I remember how I learned all of linear algebra from a book and next month I had forgotten all of its essence. All I have now are vague ideas of some definitions and the skill to reduce matrices. My mistake? I didn't do many problems. I did like 2 problems per problem set. Looking back, that was so retarded and an obvious symptom of my youth.
Now I do all the problems of the books I read and you should too, and if you think your book's problems are brainlet problems then find a new book.
