Is this book a meme /sci/ (What Every Body is Saying by Joe Navarro)? Will it really teach me how to read people? If not, what books can you recommend for learning how to read body language, social cues, etc?

How about reading some of it and testing out yourself, moron?
Completely reading someone base on body language is not what the book is about.

Not even OP, but why waste your time in something that is useless if you have other people's knowledge of that?

Clearly it's because he likes the book so much he gets defensive over even a perceived criticism.

You can't generalize like that.
We're talking about body language here.
Body language is a thing:

Even a quick skim reveals that the book is king of encyclopedic in his organization.
You have a list of behaviors with their usual meaning.
OP is a slob and is going to believe to every nonsensical response if he doesn't do some reading by himself.

You're better off reading the book written by pease
For social gains you should read models by Mark Manson, book of Pook and that should be enough

Also I've read both body language books. Read this one after some time it's also good
