is 840/980 (87th percentile) on the Math GRE any good? Pic related, score a guy at my uni got, doesnt seem that great but he's a Rhodes Scholar
Would a score like that get you to Oxford as an international without Rhodes?
Why don't you time yourself taking a practice test and see how you score?

It's sad that you think merit has anything to do with being a Rhodes scholar. Clinton was a Rhodes scholar. Edith Bunker was a Rhodes scholar.
>>8707915
I don't need to I would probably get 99th percentile no problem. I just want to see if that's more impressive than being a Rhodes Scholar.
>>8707931
this
>>8707931
Hold up, are you talking about the subject test or the general test?
>>8707987
Subject test, obviously
>>8708824
Then I call bullshit on the claim of OP being able to score in the 99th percentile without proof.
>>8707931
Lol, yeah, of course, being good at taking math tests is way more impressive than being a Rhodes Scholar.
>>8708912
He didn't even take the test, he just imagined that he would be ace at the test.
What a brainlet.

nope 87 percentile is basically nothing. but then GRE is basically nothing. a Rhode scholarship is worth much more than that.
with a bit of study it's trivial to get the 91/94 percentile. to get perfect score is more difficult but then it's only an autistic perfectionist goal, no real impact whatsoever.
If you do well in GRE, all that says is "ok this guy's probably not a retard"
