Is listening to podcasts or youtube lectures while studying bad

probably better for longevity but i personally have a better time remembering things if i study in the same conditions as the test aka no music, paper in front of me, rewriting things

Listening to anything is bad
Even if you are working longer, your time is less productive

I use to be able to do this as a teenager. 4chan destroyed my attention span.

I don't know how you can do that.
If I try to listen to a new podcast while trying to concentrate, I get nothing from the podcast.
Better to put on a movie you seen a million times like Troy.

Maybe if it's just busy work, you could throw on a podcast.

Yeah, it's very bad. It's one thing to listen to music, but unless you're a fucking mutant or something you can't effectively study while also listening to someone talk.

Well you can't really listen to it, it serves more like a background noise. I use podcasts when studying sometimes if im not listening to music, still better than silence (too boring)
