Is listening to podcasts or youtube lectures while studying bad to do? Like would it hinder how much you actually take away from the study session? Sometimes I find it helps me be able to work for longer periods but idk

probably better for longevity but i personally have a better time remembering things if i study in the same conditions as the test aka no music, paper in front of me, rewriting things
Listening to anything is bad
Even if you are working longer, your time is less productive
I use to be able to do this as a teenager. 4chan destroyed my attention span.

What did they mean by this?
(I unironically really like New Yorker covers)

It's love at first sight, but they're both on different trains, so they'll probably never see each other again.

I don't know how you can do that.
If I try to listen to a new podcast while trying to concentrate, I get nothing from the podcast.
Better to put on a movie you seen a million times like Troy.
Maybe if it's just busy work, you could throw on a podcast.

Yeah, it's very bad. It's one thing to listen to music, but unless you're a fucking mutant or something you can't effectively study while also listening to someone talk.

>think of it as just a background noise, like people talking or the tv being turned on
Those are also bad for focus.
