Why is aerospace engineering so popular here? It's the one engineering degree where you almost certianly won't work in your field.

ae's mostly end up working systems engineering, but they're still working in aerospace

It's the least gay of the engineering.

True if it's a meme university without close ties to industry.

I am on it.
I fucking hate it.
I fucking hate the people that are there with me.

Why do you keep doing it then?

Been at it for a while, mom is counting on me to finish it (shes delicate and I don't know how much she will last) my best choice is to just pass the courses and get off it (its hard when you barely have any interests in it tho).
After that I just want to get a normal job.

>went to hometown school for ME even though school is well-known for AE
>specifically because I don't want to work in AE
>graduate, eventually wind up working in AE anyway because it's the only place that would pay a decent wage
>now working on a master's in AE in the evenings so I don't get laid off before my coworkers
Just end it now senpai

Nah dude, get that masters and get a nice job, I'm rooting for you
>>8674150
Ah I wanna work with databases. Any tips?
>>8673074
In my experience masters don't count for shit. Maybe they help get your foot in the door for the interview? But I've heard so many examples of people getting paid a couple hundred dollars per year more for a masters. Or even getting paid less because they didn't get as much work experience compared to people without a masters.

I feel you, but I'm almost there, so I might as well finish
