Unfortunately the downside is that no one cares about applied mathematician. I tried googling that one mathematician who proved some theorems and then applied them to some sort of cancer scan, making it like 20 times faster but when I google mathematicians I only find pure mathematicians. Well, just know that the guy is out there and he did some fun shit mixing up mathematics, computer and biology.
