So my dad was asking me a hypothetical question when I was in the car that sort of baffled me. We know about inertial reference frames and how the laws of physics are the same regardless of your speed, according to Newton. But if you shot an arrow out of the back of a train, and the train was moving at the exact same speed as the arrow, would the arrow simply fall to the ground in mid air?
