>want to factor numbers in my head faster
>can't do it because I can only consider one trial division at a time
>seriously considering inducing multiple personality disorder on myself so i can solve problems with two parallel lines of thought
Would this work, /sci/?

No. It's not as if you have two separate personalities running at the same time.
>factor number
>does it end in an even number
>repeat
>does it end in an odd
>its a prime number

It may actually work.
Infact, I am going to attempt the same myself and report back to /sci/ about what happens. I will be using this tripcode for future identification.

I am currently pondering how you could have two thoughts at once. Your primary thought process could be based on your sensory input with a secondary process running in the background that is not influenced by the outside world while it is running. You could have control over your primary process with the secondary running in the background processing inputs for faster applications and usage.

You aren't taking into consideration the brain cycles it will cost to compile both factors into one of your personalities and shutting down the temporary personality. If you are slow at factoring, it may be worth it, but if you are already relatively efficient at prime factorization this may not be worth it.

You'll never approach our plane of existence, you peasant.
