That's not balding, it's called a widow's peak, and it's a very common type of hairline.

It's a stage of balding, I didn't know personally until my own hairline started receding and I became painfully aware of everything to do with balding
Some guys lose the whole thing at once, other's have this pattern progression that starts with a widows peak

>still no cure for balding
As Hippocrates noted, castration prevents balding. The issue here is that most men care more about their balls than their hairline.
I started balding at an alarming pace a few years ago. It seemed that overnight my hair got so thin it looked like i had a combover even before I had any bald spots. Quickly got on a finasteride regimen. Hair filled back in. Stopped taking it about six months ago and hair loss has not resumed. I have no idea what happened. Try it, you might have similar results, but I assume you can't have any bald spots. I understand that once it's totally gone in one place it doesn't come back there with any treatment.

Finasteride is actually highly effective, actually totally effective in most cases. It just fucks with your hormones and most aren't willing to even dip their toe in that (regardless of its low rate of serious side effects).
I personally have decided to embrace my recession instead of fucking with my hormones for vanity.

Because it's not fucking important, at all.

I am aware, but the chance is there, and even if the side effect isn't necessarily "significant" doesn't mean it isn't there and impacting you in some way. 5ar reductase inhibits more than just DHT. At any rate, I didn't feel it worth the effort anymore when I was about to ask my doctor for a prescription. I cared more when I was 19. I'm 22 with an NW2 now and I'm just going to deal with it.

Convince a farmer or veterinarian to do it for you; if you must do it yourself elastration is probably your best bet
